Thanks for reading this information on what is our favourite tour every year. It’s the real deal when it comes to golfing paradise and there’s plenty of activities for non- players. As you can see in the picture below there is always a great turnout for this event. Visit three different Hawaiian Islands play 6 world class golf courses that don’t beat you up, enjoy a fun but competitive tournament, stay at fantastic five-star beachfront hotels, perfect climate and best of all meet some fun people along the way.
The 2019 tour kicks off on the Big Island of Hawaii which is a 30-minute flight from Honolulu. On arrival at Kona airport you take a short drive along the Kohala Coast where you will find some of the finest resort golf courses and beach front accommodation anywhere in the world and the temperature is perfect all year round.
Accommodation for the first six nights is at the fabulous five -star Westin Hapuna Beach Hotel at the iconic Mauna Kea Resort, you will enjoy large ocean view rooms and breakfast is included every day.
The $46million Hotel refurbishment is now completed and includes all rooms, new restaurants, bars, adults only pool & spa all set on one of the world’s best beaches.
We have put together a golf tournament that everyone will enjoy regardless of their golf ability, it’s called the International Golf Week and now in its 7th year, everyone has a chance to win prizes in the handicap divisions and for the low handicap players there will also be a scratch competition.
For most people it’s a full day’s travel to get to Hawaii, if you decide to arrive a day earlier “17th of August” you may wish to have an optional practice round at the Hapuna Beach course which is only 150 meters from the hotel foyer, we have organised a specially discounted green fee including cart, the practice facilities will be available and PGA professionals will be running free golf lessons , for any fine tuning before the four 4 round tournament starts.
For many people this has become a yearly pilgrimage So if you take up the challenge and join us on tour, you will enjoy amazing beach front accommodation, play golf on world class courses, enjoy great company and compete with people from different countries, you have the opportunity to win some excellent prizes, experience lots of fun and a few cocktails at one of the best locations anywhere.
After the tournament it’s time for some R&R and experience a different location beginning with a short flight to the Island of Maui then 4 nights at the magnificent Marriott Wailea Beach Resort and of course another round of golf at one of their 3 course.
Accommodation for the first six nights is at the fabulous Westin Hapuna Beach Hotel at Mauna Kea Resort.
Situated on 32 oceanfront acres, the hotel is nestled in natural bluffs overlooking the silky white sands of Hapuna Beach. In ancient times on the resort site, freshwater springs bubbled to the surface during heavy rainfall. These artesian fountains provided respite and renewal for travellers along the Kohala Coast, hence, the area is named Hāpuna or “spring” (“Spring of life”) in the Hawaiian language.
Your accommodation has been reserved in ocean view rooms and daily breakfast is included.
Two of the great courses you will play during the tournament are located at Mauna Kea Resort.
Hapuna Beach Golf Course designed by Arnold Palmer, received a makeover and reopened in September 2018, a beautiful course that features stunning ocean views from almost every hole. Next door is the course that set the bench mark of golf in Hawaii, the Robert Trent Jones, Snr.-designed masterpiece Mauna Kea is still considered by many as the best in Hawaii.
After seven nights at the beautiful Mauna Kea Resort and five rounds of golf it’s time to take a short flight to the island of Maui and spend four nights at the amazing Marriott Wailea Beach Resort which has just completed a $100 million refurbishment.
Wailea is Maui’s most exclusive resort area with 5 international resort hotels, all overlooking the ocean, shopping village with over 80 shops, numerous restaurants and bars, three 18-hole championship golf courses. I Don’t think it gets any better than this. The Marriott Wailea Beach Resort is around 40 minutes’ drive from Maui’s Kahului Airport
After a couple days R & R its back to the golf course for a round on another gem. There are 3 excellent 18-hole golf courses at Wailea Resort with different degrees of challenge, we will play the best “Wailea Gold Course”
After 4 nights at this beautiful resort its time to fly back to Honolulu and head home or you may wish to extend your stay on Maui or spend a few days in Waikiki staying at the Prince Waikiki Hotel where all rooms have an ocean view, check out the hustle and bustle of Waikiki and maybe some shopping at the famous Ala Moana Shopping centre which is only a drive and 8 iron from the hotel foyer.
Hawaii is without doubt the golf resort capital of the world. “Hawaii Island”, known as the big island, is a 30-minute flight from Honolulu and has many of the best courses in Hawaii, designed by some of the greatest names in golf. There are seven world class courses within 15 minutes’ drive from the fantastic Westin Hapuna Beach Hotel at Mauna Kea Resort and you will play the best four of these courses during the tournament, then onto the Wailea Resort on the island of Maui , there are 3 excellent courses at Wailea and we will play the best of them Wailea Gold course.
The 15th hole is one of the most photographed golf holes in the world. This fantastic course was host to famous skins game when some of the world’s greatest players went head to head for huge sums of money. The course is one of Hawaii’s best and always in great condition.
The Arnold Palmer / Ed Seay design is one of the most interesting courses you will play anywhere. A links style design with the first nine holes climbing from sea level to 700 feet. Amazing layout with spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean from every hole.
The sister of the south course has big wide manicured fairways that meander their way through the black lava rock. This is a true championship layout and is the venue for the Hawaii State Open, bring your camera this is a beauty.
The Robert Trent Jones Sr design that set the benchmark for golf in Hawaii and is still considered by many to be Hawaii’s best course. World renowned ocean front holes, magnificent bunkering and finely manicured fairways, a true masterpiece.
One of 3 championship course at the doorstep of the Marriott Wailea Resort. The course was host to PGA skins game from 2001 to 2007. The strategic design takes advantage of the natural terrain and stunning ocean views. A true championship layout, however with 4- 6 sets of tee blocks on each hole makes play a joy for the average player through to the tour pros.
For those wishing to spend a few nights in Waikiki we recommend The Prince Waikiki Hotel is the only hotel in Waikiki where every room has an ocean view, the hotel was completely refurbished in 2017 new rooms, restaurants, bars and pool, the famous Ala Moana shopping centre is only 300 metres away and there is a free hotel shuttle that takes you to downtown Waikiki , the shopping centres and to their own golf course.
