Hawaii is without doubt the golf resort capital of the world. “Hawaii Island”, known as the big island, is a 30 minute flight from Honolulu and has many of the best courses in Hawaii, designed by some of the greatest names in golf. There are seven world class courses within 15 minutes’ drive from the fantastic Westin Hapuna Beach Hotel at Mauna Kea Resort and you will play the best four of these courses in this tournament.
The 15th hole is one of the most photographed golf holes in the world. This fantastic course was host to famous skins game when some of the world’s greatest players went head to head for huge sums of money. The course is one of Hawaii’s best and always in great condition.
The sister of the south course, has big wide manicured fairways that meander their way through the black lava rock. This is a true championship layout and is the venue for the Hawaii State Open, bring your camera this is a beauty.
The Arnold Palmer design is one of the most interesting courses you will play anywhere. A links style design with the first nine holes climbing from sea level to 700 feet. Amazing layout with spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean from every hole, all new greens completed August 2018
The Robert Trent Jones Sr design that set the benchmark for golf in Hawaii and is still considered by many to be Hawaii’s best course. World renowned ocean front holes, magnificent bunkering and finely manicured fairways, a true masterpiece.
Westin Hapuna Beach Hotel, the $46 million up- grade was completed in August 2018 including all rooms, new restaurants and bars, new adults only swimming pool & spa
Accommodation for the six nights of this event is at the fabulous Westin Hapuna Beach Hotel at Mauna Kea Resort. Situated on 32 oceanfront acres, the hotel is nestled in natural bluffs overlooking the silky white sands of Hapuna Beach. In ancient times on the resort sites freshwater springs bubbled to the surface during heavy rainfall. These artesian fountains provided respite and renewal for travellers along the Kohala Coast, hence, the area is named Hāpuna or “spring” (“Spring of life”) in the Hawaiian language.
Your accommodation has been reserved in ocean view rooms and daily breakfast is included.
Two of the great courses you will play during the tournament are located within Mauna Kea Resort. The 18-hole championship Hapuna Golf Course designed by Arnold Palmer features stunning ocean views from almost every hole.
