There has been a golf and tourism boom throughout Asia over the last 10 years with world class golf courses and resorts popping up everywhere. Pacific Golf has been running professional and amateur golf tournaments and tours around the world for the past 25 years and we have put together a 11 day tour that encompasses what we consider to be the best golf and cultural destinations in Vietnam & Cambodia with 5 star accommodation throughout.
You will play 7 fantastic golf courses and have your own caddy and cart every round. There will be a golf professional on tour to help you with your game. As with all our tours there is always a friendly tournament included. You don’t have to be a great golfer to take part, we have a daily competition and there will be prizes for the overall winners in men’s and women’s divisions.
The internationally designed courses are amongst the best in Asia, you will play the Montgomerie Links, Da Nang Country Club, Ba Na Hills, Long Thana, Twin Doves, Phokeethra & Angkor Resort.
The tour kicks off on the 28th February in Da Nang on the central coast (China Beach) of Vietnam.
Everyone will arrive in Da Nang on different flights during the day and check into the 5-star Pullman Resort, the event starts with the welcome cocktail function that evening then its straight into the golf next morning.
There are many destinations around the world where you can stay at a nice hotel and play golf for a week on good courses. However; there are very few exotic destinations that offer “3 world class golf courses” designed by the best in the business, luxury 5 star beach front accommodation, amazing food and all in an area bursting with culture and history with 3 UNESCO world heritage sites near by.
Play the 3 best courses in Da Nang the Greg Norman designed Da Nang Golf Course, which some believe to be his best design yet, the Montgomerie links, designed by Yes you guessed it and then the course voted best new course in Asia Ba Na Hills designed by Luke Donald.
The Da Nang Tournament, the tournament on this tour will be played over the first 3 of the tour. It is a stableford event with daily and over all prizes for women and men. Everyone loved the 2017 event, no stress, competitive but lots of fun.
Golf professional Richard Ellis will be on tour playing with the group, so plenty of free tips for those in need of a swing fix or slight tune up.
After 4 nights in Da Nang we take a short flight south to Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) and spend the next 3 nights at the excellent Sheraton Saigon Hotel & Towers. We have golf planned the following two days at Twin Doves & Long Thana, both courses have hosted significant tournaments and are among the best in Saigon. We will organise tee times to enable people the opportunity to take in some of the famous land marks while in Saigon.
After 7 nights in Vietnam it’s time to depart for Siem Reap airport in Cambodia. On arrival, we will transfer to the 5-star Angkor Palace Resort Hotel & Spa for the next 3 nights. After check in we have an afternoon tour of the world heritage listed Angkor Wat.
There are not many golf course in Cambodia however the next two days we will play two of the best, Phokeethra and Angkor Resort, you won’t be disappointed.
If you enjoy playing excellent golf courses, with your own personal caddy & cart, staying at top quality hotels, feast on some of the finest food in the world and off course a few beverages with your new golfing friends, you will love this experience.

Information on the best way to get to Da Nang is below.
Once you have decided to book on the tour we will lock in your internal flight from Da Nang to Ho Chi Minh and Ho Chi Minh to Siem Reap.
From New Zealand & Australia there are a number of ways to fly to Da Nang Vietnam. Da Nang has a domestic and International terminal.
1/ Into Singapore then connect to a flight direct to Da Nang
2/ Into Hong Kong then connect to a flight direct to Da Nang
3/ Into Ho Chi Minh City then a domestic flight to Da Nang.
The tournament is a stableford competition, women’s and men’s divisions, with daily and overall prizes. In the interest of fair play if you win an overall prize you will only be eligible for one daily prize. As with many of our tours there will be a daily betting pool for those who wish to partake $10 entry per day- 1st 2nd & 3rd paid out (you don’t have to enter this)
We will have a slope handicap chart available for round one of the tournament. After each round player’s will be re-handicapped down or up depending on their day’s score.
Anyone playing within 2 strokes of their handicap, there will be no change for the next round.
Score three or four, better or worse than your handicap and your handicap for the next round will be plus or minus one stroke. Score five or more strokes “better or worse” will result in, minus or plus 2 strokes for their next round.
The maximum handicap movement will be 2 strokes a day.
