After the huge success of the 2020 tournament, this year’s event will once again take place at New Zealand’s iconic Wairakei International Golf Course & Sanctuary , April 20th , 21st & 22nd . Teams will comprise of one PGA professional and 3 amateurs, the pros will play for a minimum of $40,000 in prize money and the amateurs compete for $8,000 of prizes in the teams and individual competition.
With Covid19 still running rampant outside New Zealand’s borders many of our leading professionals have decide to stay home for the first half of 2021.
This is an excellent opportunity for amateur golfers to play three rounds with some of NZ’s best professionals at the iconic Wairakei Golf Course in the Pro Teams Invitational.
Pacific Golf Management recognises an opportunity to put together a top end pro-am golf event to be played at one of NZ’s best international golf courses.
For many years Wairakei was regarded as the country’s best golf course. With a recent facelift including 18 new greens and other course upgrades now completed the old favourite is in pristine condition and it may well be back at the pinnacle of NZ’s best courses.
The tournament will be played over 54 holes (3 rounds) with a shot gun start at 10.30am each day, play will be in carts. All groups (teams) will comprise of 1 PGA professional and 3 amateurs, the teams will play together for all three rounds During each round food and drinks will be provided.
The event will kick off with a welcome function on the 19th of April at the Wairakei Resort Hotel ,after each round complementary drinks will be served for one hour in the tournament bar at Wairakei Resort Hotel and there will be a Calcutta held after round two with the leading 8 teams to be auctioned for the final round.
Professionals competition is 54-hole stroke play
There will be two pro-am team’s competitions
1/ Teams stableford, where the best two stableford scores on each hole will count
2/ Teams gross, where the two best gross scores on each hole will count
There will also be an individual section for amateurs, stableford & gross.
The event is limited to the first 30 teams entered, comprising of (1 PGA professional and 3 amateurs)

Amateurs – organise your team of 3 amateurs and we will put one of the country’s leading pros with your group
For amateurs that don’t have a team, you may enter individually, and we will put you in a team.
