After the huge sucess of two previous South Pacific Golf Classic’s we are pleased to confirm the 2019 event will take place 15th to 19th of September. The South Pacific Classic will be played over 3 rounds at Sheraton Deva Resort followed by a one round pro-am event in Noumea at Dumbea Golf Course these events are part of the Australasian Legends Tour.
The field will be made up of approximately 40 professionals and 80 amateurs.
We have only 40 spots available for overseas amateur golfers to compete in this event , the tournament is open to men or women, all amateurs must have a current handicap, the handicap limits are 27 for men and 30 for women.
As part of the Australasian PGA Legends tour this a great opportunity for amateurs to play with some of the house hold names of professional golf at an exotic location in a relaxed atmosphere.
The Australasian Legends Tour has over 70 tournaments in 2019 which are played in Australia, New Zealand, Samoa, Fiji and New Caledonia. It’s not hard to see why the tour is so popular when you have former British Open, USPGA, Australian & NZ Open’s and PGA Championship winners playing in the events. Players such as Ian Baker Finch, Peter Senior, Simon Owen, Rodger Davis, Mike Harwood, Peter Fowler and Wayne Grady, all have been world class professionals winning numerous major championships around the globe over the past 40 years, they are just some of the top names that play regularly on the Legend Tour.
Accommodation for the first four nights will be at the recently opened $250 million Sheraton Deva Resort & Spa which is located at Bourail, a leisurely 2 hours’ drive north of Noumea Airport. This exceptional beachfront resort has 180 rooms, suites & bungalow’s, 15 kilometres of white sand beach, amazing food and plenty of activates for the non-golfers. After the tournament there is an opportunity to extend your stay and travel to New Caledonia’s capital Noumea where you could spend 2 or 3 nights at the beautiful water front Le Meridien Hotel & Casino, the hotel is only 10 minutes from downtown shopping area. For the keen golfers there is an opportunity to play in a one round pro-am being played at Dumbea golf course..

The Sheraton Deva championship golf course is part of the fantastic Sheraton resort & Spa. The excellent Dye Design golf course is one of the best in the South Pacific, great layout, beautiful condition and very playable for all golfers.
Dumbea Golf Course was the venue for New Caledonia Open for many years, a great country course around 35 minutes drive from the Meridien Hotel.
New Caledonia is only a short flight from Auckland, Brisbane, Sydney , Melbourne and Nadi. There are various airlines operating flights to Nomuea.

Arrive Noumea and transfer to Sheraton Deva Resort & Spa, where accommodation has been reserved for the next 4 nights, welcome cocktail function. Optional practice round at Sheraton Deva.

| Wednesday 18th September |
Final round of the South Pacific Golf Classic, seeded draw with leading 2 professionals playing with the leading 2 amateurs and so forth through the field. Prize Presentation Cocktail Function. |
| Thursday 19th September |
Depart the Sheraton and transfer by coach for the Airport for those who are leaving today or transfer to Noumea and check in to the Le Meridien Hotel & Casino, Evening function at the Grand Casino which is located in the grounds of the Meridien Hotel. |
| Friday 20th September |
Transfer to Dumbea Golf course for a one round pro-am tournament |
| Saturday 21st September |
Depart the hotel for Noumea airport for your homeward journey. |
