APRIL 6th – 12TH  2025

World class golf courses : Five star hotels : Your own personal caddy : Great tournament
Limited to 28 Golfers

Note from Richard Ellis – I have been running professional and amateur golf events at numerous destinations around the world for more than 25 years. Over the past 12 years we have been running this event in Thailand.

Thailand is a world class golf destination where you will find some of best championship and resort courses in Asia with hotel accommodation to match. We have a great tournament and a 5-star tour planned; you don’t have to have a single figure handicap to play. If you enjoy the challenge of playing great championship courses and don’t mind a few side bets and a good laugh, we would love to see you.

Thailand Golf Classic Tour

Will take place April 6th – 12th 2025 at the seaside town of Pattaya and Thailand’s capital city Bangkok.

The Thailand Golf Classic tour is an annual tournament, the 2025 event will be played over five rounds on some of Asia’s finest courses, this is an individual and team’s tournament, invitations are for teams of (4 players) to compete. The event is limited to the first seven teams entered (28 players), for those people who don’t have a team and wish to enter individually the organisers will endeavor to place you into a team for the team’s event.

All competitors will stay at the five -star Avani Resort & Spa for the first 5 nights during the tournament then onto the Westin Grande Hotel in Bangkok for 1 night. The tournament package includes 6 night’s accommodation, daily full breakfast, transfers to all golf courses, five rounds of golf including your own cart and personal caddy, special players gift pack, excellent prizes, welcome cocktail party and final night prize presentation function.

The tour kicks off on the 6th of April. On arrival at Bangkok Airport competitors will be met and transfer to the Avani Resort & Spa you will travel by luxury mini vans down the motorway about 1 ½ hours’ drive south of Bangkok to Pattaya. Pattaya is located on the eastern side of the Gulf of Thailand. Some of the finest golf courses in all of Asia are located between Bangkok and Pattaya including the Siam Country Club which has four championship layouts. We will play the three best of these during the tournament, the Siam Old course which hosts the annual LPGA Honda Classic, the Plantation course has hosted numerous Thailand Opens and the newest course Rolling Hills a fantastic undulating layout. The final round in Pattaya will be at the magnificent Chee Chan Golf Club, a real masterpiece. Then its onto Bangkok to play Royal Gems Golf City, better known as “Augusta in Bangkok” (the replica course) all holes on the first 9 are copies of famous holes, including the road hole at St Andrews, the par three 17th hole island green from the Players Championship at Sawgrass. The second 9 is a copy of the back 9 at Augusta.

Accommodation has been reserved at the five-star Avani Resort & Spa for the first 5 nights then onto the Westin Grand Hotel in Bangkok for the final night.

As most people will have traveled for more than 12 hours to get to Thailand, day one is an afternoon round at Rolling Hills Golf Course. This is a round where your team plays together in a best ball competition, it’s not part of the tournament.

The Thailand Golf Classic tournament

Will take place April 8th, 9th & 10th the first round will be played at the excellent Siam Country Club Plantation, next day the Siam Old course and final tournament round is at Chee Chan Golf Club. After four rounds on fantastic golf courses, it will be time to present the prizes at the tournament function at the Avani Hotel. We will also draw for partners and run a Calcutta on tomorrow’s round in Bangkok.

On Friday 11th of April, we travel back towards Bangkok for a round at one of Asia’s best private courses, Royal Gems Golf City (Augusta in Bangkok) we played this course on a number of occasions, it’s amazing. After golf we make our way the Westin Grande Hotel in Bangkok city for our final night in Thailand. The hotel is in the center of Bangkok next to Terminal 21, one of the city’s best shopping complexes. Some people may wish to stay on for a few extra rounds of golf which can be organized.

The betting fund (prize pool) there will be prize pool set up with all players expected to put in (500 Bhat) $20 a day. Daily prize money will be for first, second and third stableford plus best team, all prize pool money will be collected on day one.
