The South Pacific’s first Father and Son Golf Championship is a reality and will take place in Fiji October 2015.
The tournament will played at Natadola Bay Championship course and Denarau Golf & Racquet Club
Father and Son Golf tournaments have been some of the most popular events worldwide for many years. An annual Father and Son Tournament in the USA is so popular it attracts 1500 entries each year. These tournaments have been made famous by huge media hype and TV coverage, of the PGA Tour’s event which features likes of Jack Nicklaus, Bernhard Langer Jonny Miller, Gary Player, Greg Norman, VJ Singh and their golfing sons & a few daughters. It makes for a very competitive tournament and fantastic comradeship.
The inaugural event is guaranteed to attract some of Australia and New Zealand’s well known father and son golfing and sporting legends, both professional and amateur.
The Tournament offers over $45,000 in prizes and professional prize money. You don’t have to be great players to join in what will be three days of fantastic golf and fun filled memories.
The tournament is being held directly after the $1 million One Asia professional tournament at Natadola Bay. So those who are interested in traveling to Fiji a few days earlier can watch some of Australasia best professionals in action and then test your skills a few days later on the same course.
Natadola Bay, is the world class 18 hole VJ Singh masterpiece that everyone is talking about.
Denarau Golf & Racquet Club, a great resort course and only 200 meters from the Westin Resort.
This is a team’s event, and father and son teams can be made up as follows
Two amateurs, two professionals or one professional and one amateur.
There will be gross and net competitions daily, however the main prizes will be awarded for the overall 54 hole competition.
Amateurs must have an official club handicap and professionals who have an official handicap can use this in the team’s net competition.
There will be gross and net competitions.
NB – where a prize winning team consists of a professional and amateur, the amateur will receive a prize and the professional, prize money.
The Westin Resort & Spa is a five star luxury hotel set on the beach at the magnificent Denarau Island only 20 minutes’ drive from Nadi International Airport. Denarau Island has 8 international hotels and Port Denarau marine village with numerous restaurants, bars and retail shops.

Where a team has a professional and amateur, the professional will receive prize money and the amateur a prize.
Where a team has two professionals, and for example they win the gross section of the event, they would receive 1st and 2nd prize money, should they finish 6th they would receive 6th & 7th prize money.
Professionals can win prize money in both gross and net competitions
